EdgeNet provides a portal to configure, manage, and deploy Edge Services to dozens of Edge locations around the world. EdgeNet has been designed to allow developers and organizations the ability to start small and grow in complexity through a number of different environments, or portal configurations, best suited to their current needs.
Developers can get started using the Development Environment (DE) for free by simply signing up for the service. The DE is hosted on shared infrastructure. The DE provides full API access,which includes service volume limits, such as, the number of monthly calls and deployment to a single Edge location It is designed to let you experiment with Edge technologies and Alef services, but not for production deployments.
Developers can sign up for or upgrade an existing DE to a Team Environment (TE) by subscribing to a paid service such as video. Doing this will create or migrate an environment to an Edge location chosen by the developer and remove service limits imposed on the TE. A Team Environment is designed for up to 5 developers and is ideal for freelance developers, creative agencies, or small teams.

Larger organizations can sign up for an Enterprise Environment (EE). The EE allows organizations to create a central EdgeNet portal for managing billing, control access to specific services, centralized team management, and volume-based pricing. The EE also gives the ability to create linked Developer Environments for improved team collaboration and the establishment of dev-test-prod workflows. The EE is designed for up to 20 developers with a dedicated administrator. Additional licenses can be purchased to add more developers.
